CAMPAIGN LOGO
Post Vax Life is a campaign created by the UMass Worcester Prevention Research Center to promote confidence in and use of COVID-19 vaccines among youth and families in Worcester, Massachusetts. Funded by the CDC Prevention Research Network, Post Vax Life amplifies the voices of youth and families through a media campaign comprised of a group of Worcester vaccine ambassadors. This work is done in partnership with the City of Worcester Office of Health and Human Services and many agencies comprised of young talent from the City of Worcester.
To create the logo, a focus group of 6 young health ambassadors from the city of Worcester was convened. They filled out a survey which revealed their expectations regarding the image of the campaign. The youth asked that the logo integrate some city's iconic elements, the characteristic band-aid placed on the shoulder after receiving the vaccine, and bright, youthful colors. In addition, they requested an illustration of two young Hispanics as part of the development of the merch for the creation of the swag: shirt, cases, stickers, among others.
